Inês Mendes (Felgueiras, 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist, graduated in Fine Arts and Multimedia from FBAUP. She currently resides in Guimarães and works at Atelier Retiro. In this space, she teaches ceramics and ethnographic studies of pottery. The artist brings from her education the pursuit of multidisciplinary artistic translations. She focuses on materials such as ceramics and iron, allowing her to revisit stories from the family environment, daily life, and tradition. Recently, she participated in collective exhibitions such as “As memórias dos Outros” (2024) at the Municipal Theatre of Guarda, “Premire” at the Meymac Contemporary Art Centre (2022), and at the Oliva Art Centre (2023). She exhibited individually "Sincretisma" at the Caldeiraria space, curated by Pedro Moreira (2024).
